This thing called life
Often calls you day and night
But are you answering?
I mean, when someone calls
You pick up the phone.
When life calls
Despite the tone
You have to answer it.
Enjoy your life
The wrongs,
The rights.
And as I write,
Please understand
That your life is in God’s hands.
And it’s in yours too.
Great things,
You should do.
Wrong things,
Make them few.
Why live a life that brings discomfort
When you can live a life where you will be remembered?
Live a life in which you think first
Before you speak.
But whatever you do,
Please speak.
Your voice is beautiful, valuable,
And unique.
Think of how each plan will affect the next,
Live your life knowing you are blessed.
Live your life knowing that you are doing your best.
Live your life.
Will you pass the test?
My name is Erykah Gray, but most people know me as Miss Gray. I hail from the charming town of Centreville in Southern Mississippi. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in English from The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and a Master of Arts in Literature from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Today, I’m a proud doctoral student at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, because I believe that learning is a lifelong journey—and I’m passionate about being on that path. Teaching isn’t just what I do; it’s who I am. I love speaking, writing, and inspiring others to find their voice. Every day in my classroom, I strive to make learning exciting and meaningful while helping my students grow into confident, inspired thinkers ready to take on the world. Here, I plan to do the same.
