Erykah Gray

I have been drawn to the world of English for as long as I can remember.

After graduating high school in 2017, I further pursued my passion for the subject at the University of Southern Mississippi. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in 2022.

While there, my love for literature and writing deepened, and it led me to pursue my Master of Arts degree in Literature at Liberty University. There, I graduated in 2024. I have been able to fuel my passion for reading and writing throughout my professional and academic career.

Having spent most of my life as a student, I cherish the cycle of learning. As an educator, I’m passionate about merging my experiences with my love for teaching.

Reflecting on my 26 years, I have gathered important lessons, and here, I am thrilled to share my experiences through my writing. Besides, we all can use a teacherble moment every now and then.

About Me

My name is Erykah Gray, though many know me as Miss Gray. I’m from Centreville, a small town in southern Mississippi that will always feel like home. I earned my bachelor’s degree in English at The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and later completed a Master of Arts in Literature at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. I am now continuing my journey as a doctoral student at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

I believe learning is a lifelong journey that continues to shape who we are. Teaching is not simply what I do; it is part of who I am. I am passionate about speaking, writing, and creating spaces where voices can be found and valued. In my classroom, each day holds new possibility as I guide students to grow into confident, curious thinkers ready to step into the world with purpose.
