Time sits quietly in his wallow, Drowning in the shadows of forgotten days. Soon a harsh truth comes to follow, Reminding us of all the moments that slip away.
Seconds flicker past like fading breath, Minutes drift like leaves at breeze. Hours linger heavy with silent regret, Yet no one notices how Time grieves.
Days pile up like broken promises, Months dissolve without a trace. Years stretch long in empty spaces, While Time suffers the ache of being erased.
Time is always constant and true, Yet no one truly sees his face. Lost in the rush of what we pursue, Time’s left behind in the forgotten place.
Though forsaken, Time continues on, Hoping someday someone will see. But for now he sits all alone, Waiting to forever be a memory.
My name is Erykah Gray, but most people know me as Miss Gray. I hail from the charming town of Centreville in Southern Mississippi. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in English from The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and a Master of Arts in Literature from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Today, I’m a proud doctoral student at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, because I believe that learning is a lifelong journey—and I’m passionate about being on that path. Teaching isn’t just what I do; it’s who I am. I love speaking, writing, and inspiring others to find their voice. Every day in my classroom, I strive to make learning exciting and meaningful while helping my students grow into confident, inspired thinkers ready to take on the world. Here, I plan to do the same.
