Today’s TEACHERble Moment

Today’s lesson is simple: Do one thing that makes you happy. Not tomorrow. Not when the schedule clears. Today.

As a teacher, I’m great at grading papers, meeting deadlines, and pouring into everyone else; however, sometimes I forget to give myself extra credit.

Consider this your gentle reminder written on the board in permanent marker: Your happiness matters.

Think of it as a mini pop quiz for the heart. No wrong answers. Maybe it’s taking yourself out, resuming your favorite hobby, laughing with someone who gets you, or finally making time to rest without feeling any guilt. Whatever it is, let it be intentional. Curiosity, creativity, and delight isn’t just for children.

Today’s Assignment

So here’s today’s assignment, no red pen involved: What will you do today to make yourself happy? Feel free to share your answers in the comments. I would love to learn from you!

  3. I already did most of it… I attended my baby cousin’s basketball game and had a great time watching him, and the other little kiddos play. I will do some reading and a bit of writing later. I’ll also watch a couple of movies.

    Happy Saturday!
