A TEACHERble Moment on Letting Go

A TEACHERble Moment on Letting Go

What’s the thing you’re most scared to do? What would it take to get you to do it? I’m scared to let go because holding on is the only way I know how to survive. I’ve wrapped my identity around what I couldn’t fix, what I couldn’t save, what I kept hoping would change if… Continue reading

    A TEACHERble Moment: I Won’t Complain

    A TEACHERble Moment: I Won’t Complain

What do you complain about the most? Now that I’ve blossomed into adulthood, though most people who know me would say I’m still in the “kiddie adult” stage, I’ve learned one of the most important lessons I want to share with you today. That lesson is simple: don’t complain. I’m reminded of a gospel song… Continue reading

    Today’s TEACHERble Moment

    Today’s TEACHERble Moment

What do you enjoy doing most in your leisure time? I love the way travel slows me down. Trains rocking me. Cruises opening the sea. New places gently changing how I see. I don’t travel to run away. I run to travel and meet her each place. Continue reading

    A TEACHERble Mississippi Moment

    A TEACHERble Mississippi Moment

Name an attraction or town close to home that you still haven’t got around to visiting. Did you know waterfalls run through Mississippi? They may not be Niagara Falls, but Mississippi’s waterfalls are still beautiful and so rare. One of the best examples is actually hidden in Woodville, Mississippi, the town next to mine, at the Clark… Continue reading

About Me

My name is Erykah Gray, though many know me as Miss Gray. I’m from Centreville, a small town in southern Mississippi that will always feel like home. I earned my bachelor’s degree in English at The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and later completed a Master of Arts in Literature at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. I am now continuing my journey as a doctoral student at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

I believe learning is a lifelong journey that continues to shape who we are. Teaching is not simply what I do; it is part of who I am. I am passionate about speaking, writing, and creating spaces where voices can be found and valued. In my classroom, each day holds new possibility as I guide students to grow into confident, curious thinkers ready to step into the world with purpose.

Through this space, I hope to share that same sense of inspiration beyond the classroom walls
