A TEACHERble Moment on Seasons

What is your favorite season of year? Why?

Winter springs
Summer falls,
Season greetings
From them all.

Sprung over Spring
As I sit upon a hill,
And the robin goes to sing
Waking up the daffodils.

Spring goes on vacation
Her departure lies no bummer,
And there comes an admiration
For the season known as Summer.

Summer falls right into place
Her big wide skies and sunny days,
Kids gathered outside to play
With Little June and Little May.

Rhythmic trees all fine and tall
Summer breezes on to goodbye,
Say hello to her friend Fall
I heard he’s a Cool Guy.

Fall arrives on the scene
With the changes that he brings,
Leaves no longer green
Instead orange, brown, and burgundy.

Pumpkin patch and Halloween
No tricks with Fall but only treats,
Soon Fall goes on to leave
And it’s Winter that we meet.

Winter brings her wonderland
Filled with snow all blanketed,
From the Birth of Jesus to Merry Christmas
The joy she carries and the richness.

Winter springs
Summer falls,
Each season brings
My love for all.
