What does your ideal home look like?

My ideal home is 

A place where comfortability lives.


And the fireplace isn’t the only flame 

That can give guests a warm feeling.


Meals are not the only thing

That hits the spot.


A home where laughter lives rent free,

A foundation of tranquility.


My ideal home, 

A place where togetherness will roam.


And room with my family and I,

My ideal home where faith resides.



So peak into my window

And knock upon my door,

Welcome to my ideal home

The place that I adore.

My name is Erykah Gray, but most people know me as Miss Gray. I hail from the charming town of Centreville in Southern Mississippi. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in English from The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and a Master of Arts in Literature from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Today, I’m a proud doctoral student at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, because I believe that learning is a lifelong journey—and I’m passionate about being on that path. Teaching isn’t just what I do; it’s who I am. I love speaking, writing, and inspiring others to find their voice. Every day in my classroom, I strive to make learning exciting and meaningful while helping my students grow into confident, inspired thinkers ready to take on the world. Here, I plan to do the same.
