Today’s teacherble moment is one I actually want us to sit with for a minute. Today is Celebration of Life Day.
It originally started as a day designed for celebrating all children, and over time, it grew into something more bigger and even more fitting I would say: A day to celebrate all life. Every stage, and every story. And if I’m being honest, we don’t slow down enough to do that.
Life gets busy and weighted and loud. We move from one responsibility to the next without pausing to notice the fact that we’re living through moments we once dreamt and prayed for.
As a teacher, I see life every single day in my students and myself. Let today be a reminder to notice life, acknowledge life, and appreciate life. Celebrating life doesn’t have to mean doing something big. Sometimes it’s just taking a breath.
Today’s Homework Assignment
How do you choose to celebrate life? Do you celebrate yourself, family, or friends? What about the youth you pour into? Your pets who love you no matter what kind of day you’ve had?
However you answer, do it intentionally today. Write it down, or comment below.Talk about it. Live it out in a small way that matters.
Today, we celebrate the gift of being here. I’m glad you’ve made it this far.
