What profession do you admire most and why?
I’ll make this confessional
Professional as possible,
But I’d like to think that
Being a teacher
Means being unstoppable!
Teachers contribute
To all other professions,
Creating lawyers and doctors
Shaping them with each lesson.
The carefulness
Of planning,
Listening, and understanding.
The admiration,
For classroom
Conversation.
Questions are answered
Asked,
And all students are loved
In each subject,
In and out
Of class.
In and out
Of school,
A profession that aims
To sharpen
The greatest tool.
Because knowledge
Will take you far,
And that’s because
Educators are:
Cultivators and curators.
Articulators and annotators.
Translators and debaters.
Creators and navigators.
Administrators and coordinators.
The profession that makes all other professions.
